Missing workflow history list in SharePoint 2013

  • Hi

    In one of my sharepoint site, I don’t have workflow history list in below address:

    http://[servername]/[sitename]/lists/Workflow%20History

     

    why?

     I want to check status of one of workflow in this site and this list is required.

  • Hello ,

    If Workflow is created using SPD then open WorkFlow in SPD , Navigate to Workflow settings their you will find the option > Open associated Workflow History list. In the same place you can check the name of history list , sometime developers are creating different lists for different workflows.

    Or Check using powershell this list is exists or not...

    $oSiteUrl = "<SiteURL>"
    $oListName = "<ListName>"
    $oSite = Get-SPSite $oSiteUrl
    $oWeb = $oSite.RootWeb
    $list = $oWeb.Lists.TryGetList($oListName)
    
    if($list -ne $null)
    {
        Write-Host "List Exists"
    }
    else
    {
        Write-Host : List Does Not Exists"
    }
    $oWeb.Dispose()
    $oSite.Dispose()

    You can find the associated workflow history list via SharePoint Designer(SPD). Open the workflow settings page on SPD itself and click on the link as specified below:

    Can you please brief more on this, is list exist on address?, or its just hidden?

    No, workflow history list dose not exist in below address, while in other sharepoint site, workflow history list is exist but hidden. But in this site there is no workflow history list!
