Security in Powerpivot RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi All,

I created a powerpivot report from a cube for two users A and B. In that cube, the user A can only see measurex.a, and the user B can only see measures.b.

In powerpivot report, I imported both two measures A and B (I'm the admin). A again, I hope powerpiovt can hide the measure base on the current user, but it seems not possible (similar to SSRS).

So, can we work around that in DAX, create a new calcualted measure/column, check the current user if it's userA then diplay 'N/A'.  I didn't find such key word (currentuser) in DAX, and even if there is, I also need to hide the phsical measures.A. Could you help me on this?

    Thanks,

    Raymond

  • Hi Raymond,

There is no functionality in DAX to support this currently, although it is a good idea for a future version.  I will file a formal request for this feature.
