VBA Employee Task Tracker-Need help RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am trying to design an employee task tracker. We have to start accounting for all activity, including projects, time spent away from the office and vacation time. There are about 20 employees that will be using this tracker, to be viewed and charted by a supervisor. I am using Excel and a VBA userform, but it is slow going seeing as how I have only used this for a few other projects, and am a novice. Is there something out there that already exists that might aid me? Thanks--Cassie

Do you mean that your excel project work slowly? In my option, there are many reasons for Excel performance issues. For example, it has a relationship with computer hardware and the system environment. Could you share us when the Excel file run slowly, a specific method or a specific operation?

It would be helpful if you could share us more information about your issue.

For a general suggestion, I will recommend you upgrade your computer hardware. For speed up by editing the vba code, you could refer the link eblow:

  • Hi,

This is the forum to discuss questions and feedback for Microsoft Excel, I'll move your question to the MSDN forum for Excel

It's recommended to download and install Configuration Analyzer Tool (OffCAT), which is developed by Microsoft Support teams. Once the tool is installed, you can run it at any time to scan for hundreds of known issues in Office programs.

  • If you have (I think) Excel 2007 onwards, there are dozens of online templates available when you select 'new workbook'. They're very generic but one of them might give you a good start for customizing your own?
