QuotaExceededException occured without any insight in where/what connection would be causing it

    Question

  • We've encountered a ConnectionsQuotaExceeded exception a while ago, which crashed our endpoints.

While we're currently unaware of a connection leaking, it is apparent that, somewhere, this does happen.

Are there any ways we can look into this? We have the tracking id (276167e3-39ca-49a7-9c7b-0fdd008fe29b_G47). It would be great to get some insight in what was causing it (if a certain IP has a lot of connections open for example we'd already be able to look into what IP hosts what connecting piece of software, giving us a lot more grip on being able to prevent this from happening.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • In order to investigate the issue on our side please file a support ticket.

In the meantime I have couple questions:

    - Are you able to calculate the total number of connections per namespace?

    - What type of client are you using?

    - Are you using queues or event hubs?

    - What is the protocol your clients are using? AMQP or SBMP?
