EDI Control message status RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi All,

If i'm not mistaken you can follow up the status of the EDI control messages in the EDI Status Reports of the BizTalk group hub.
Regarding this follow up screen, what happens if an EDI control message does not come back? Will it stay there with a notificiation that a control message is still pending? Will this eventually cause a timeout/error inside the eventlog or will it just sit there and wait untill forever... :)

    Regards,

    Glenn

  • Hi,

Apparently you cannot have some sort of "pending" status on the messages. You only have a 'Ack Not Expected' and 'Ack Expected' status whenever you need to receive a CONTRL message or not.
The issue we are having is now that all our messages are in state 'Ack Not Expected', we tried different approached to configure the receive of the CONTRL but nothing triggered the change of the 'Ack Not Expected'.

Can anyone help on the correct configuration to effective see the 'Ack Expected' in the tracking.
FYI when we receive a CONTRL message, the status successfully changes to 'Accepted'.

    Regards,
    Glenn
