Delimiter set errror when Generating an instanse RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have build a custom EDIFACT schema based on a standard EDIFACT schema. The schema can be validated but when trying to generate an instance of the schema i get the following error.

The segments in the schema is listed below

    UNH

    BGM

    DTM

    SGF

    NAD Loop 5

       NAD

       CTA

       RFF

       UNS

       SKZ

       ITB

       MPS

       VAL

       DOC

       FTX

  • Hi Ben

Well, that is exactly my challenge. The customer has designed an EDI message using existing standardized segments but also segments that is defined only by them, so i am not using a standard EDIFACT.

At first I started with an INVOIC D00A, but the message now has no resemblance to this.

  • The question that has come to my mind is why even look for a delimiter set. The error occurs when i am trying to generate an instance of the schema. To my best knowlegde there should not be a validation of the delimiters used.

I will send you the schema today.

Thank you for looking into the challenge.

  • The issue here was that one of the enumerations(ID field type) for a BEG field had a null value. We could correct the schemas and the problem is solved.
