Hi Henrywag52.
The first thing you should do is executing a test of your network connectivity speed: go to http://www.speedtest.net/ to do that.
The problem could also be due to an insufficient computational power of your system, so you should try closing/disabling all the unnecessary services and applications and perform some tests to try isolating the performance bottleneck.
