W9 and what it means to WS app developers?

    Question

  • I heard that Windows 9 is getting rid of the charms bar..  And it will be out before year end!  So, I want to know what this means to me as a Windows 8 app developer.  For example, does no charms mean i'll have to remove my settings fly-outs, or does it mean the end of what were once called 'metro' apps altogether?  Will the Windows store still exist?  Will developers with msdn subscriptions get early access to Win 9, and when?

I'm not sure I know enough, but if a major change is coming, I want to know if it's worth my time investing in fixing/improving my app,
