Types unsupported in Visual Studio Upgrade 3 RC RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • I have just installed Visual Studio Upgrade 3 RC, and the Blend preview with Sketchflow. I get the same errors in my project. Most types seems to be unsupported. It happend before the update as well. I can still build and run the project but i cant use the designer.

Any clues to what i can do? Please, I really need to use Blend.

The problem was in Blend (Preview version with Sketchflow), not in Visual Studio. When I opened my project in Blend I would get a long list of unsupported type errors, eg 'Grid is unsupported in Windows App Projects'. The project worked fine in Visual Studio.

However, I get no errors in the (non-preview without Sketchflow) version of Blend, that is installed together with VS 2012 Upgrade 3 RC, so I guess the issue was resolved. Thanks!

  • Can you please provide more details? What exactly are you trying to do and what specific errors do you get?

The thread you posted on was about a pre-release version of Visual Studio and isn't relevant to your Visual Studio Upgrade 3 RC issue.

  • Can you use the version of Blend that is released from VS 2012 update 2?
