404 on ???-Web-AuthenticationService.svc/binary/GetUser RRS feed

    Ok I had a working website and have not updated it for a while -- Silverlight / WCF.  I have been working on some changes and they work fine in VS so fat, dumb, and happy I deployed them to the production server (stupid).  I am now getting a 404 when trying to login with the Silverlight APP.  /ClientBin/RmaTools-Web-AuthenticationService.svc/binary/GetUser

    Production server is IIS6, use to work fine so most likely I have upgraded the compiler (2012 from 2010) maybe or it was just a basic update that was installed.  I am not sure...

    I have spend the morning searching and have check if .SVC files don't require the file to exist and other items but I am not really seeing the problem.  Can someone give me something to test, thank you!

    Authentication is set to:

    <authentication mode="Forms">
          <forms name=".RmaTools_ASPXAUTH" timeout="2880" />
        </authentication>

    System.ServicModel.DomainServices. xxx --- are set to copy local true

    Log file below -- seems to just say can't find page

    The SVC is generated by the RIA service there is no file and no I don't need URL rewiting.  The closest thing I can find is the link below which did not help.  I have gone back to an older version of my code, made the same changes and it is now working but I still have no clue why it was not.

    sorry, but what is your problem?

    If you want to call a .SVC file that is not physically there, you need to override that way URL's are parsed (URL rewriting). This implies writing a handler and putting it in the config file. However, I'm not sure what your problem is.
