Getting Error when calling a SQL Server Report with Paramter from asp.net page using Report Viewer. RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have impletemented SQL Server Report using my analysis service in my localhost/reportserver. The report has a multi-valued parameter. Depending on the paramter selection it create dynamic report. It is working great in my report server.

    I have to integrate the reports to my asp.net project which is also writen in VS 2005. So I add an asp.net page and put Report Viewer control on the page to connect with the server report. Using smart tag, I give the following value:

    Choose Report: <Server Report>
    Report Server Url: http://localhost/reportserver
    Report Path: /ReportProject/ReportName

    When I run the project and navigate to my new asp.net report page, it loads fine with report with default parameter value. And this page inside a master page condent. Then I try to change the parameter to generate dynamic report....

    Here is throw the following exception:
    Error message: Collection was modified after the enumerator was instantiated.
    Stack trace:    at System.Collections.Specialized.ListDictionary.NodeKeyValueCollection.NodeKeyValueEnumerator.MoveNext().....

    I try to find out how to send parameter information to Report Server Url. But couldn't figure out the syntax. I don't know how to call the report...
    I hope someone will the answer. Thanks in advance.

  • The URL syntax to call the report server is https://servername/reportserver?/TopFolder/../SubFolder/Report+Name&rs:Command=Render&parameter=parametervalue

    Note that the parameter names must match the internal parameter names and the parameter values must match the internal parameter values, not prompts and values that are set on the Report Parameter menu.
