How to use conditional formatting based on multiple values RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi There,

I have a sheet that pulls in a few columns of numbers and i want to be able to put a few levels of conditional formatting on it, but not sure how.

basically, the numbers are like this:

    17.55 15.48 14.71  $ 21.81  $  25.50  $   31.22

Now if we split it into 2 sections of 3, the number i am testing against is the first (so 17.55 for section 1, and $21.81 for section 2)

what i would like is for the conditional formatting to highlight the row different colours depending on how many targets are hit:

the best scenario = in each section the second 2 numbers are smaller than the first

    e.g: 18 16 16 $50 $40 $45

if that happens i would like the whole cell to be shaded green.

if the opposite happens i would like it to be shaded red,

    e.g: 18 19 19 $50 $55 $52

Any help with this would be much appreciated.

  • i am not sure how to format that, the examples should all read on one line, they are all columns, not rows.
