Question about NuiFusionAlignPointClouds function RRS feed

  • The last parameter pObservedToReferenceTransform

    Is it transformation from observed to reference or the other way round?

    Because the last parameter appears in the description as pReferenceToObservedTransform.

    Which one is correct one?

    And if anyone can explain how to use this function if I have point cloud from another Kinect and I know the transformation between two Kinects.

  • This is a naming bug in the header file. The MSDN description is correct. The NuiFusionAlignPointClouds API parameter pObservedToReferenceTransform is incorrectly named and it is actually the Reference to Observed matrix that is returned.
