Share Contract + Mail App

    Question

  • Hi,

I tried to integrate share charm in my app, and share some content/information when clicked on mail app.

    The question is :

If user has not singed in/ not activated the mail app, then mail sharing contract shows a message"Currently could not share the info".

By seeing this message, the user might not be knowing, that he hasn't yet signed in/activated the mail app and he needs to do that.

Is there a way to find out ,and prompt user that he need to sign in to mail app before continuning,if he had not already signed in yet.

  • No, your app provides the data and doesn't know (or care) which target apps are available to use that data. The user may legitimately not have a mail app and may want to share with some other target.

  • The answer you told is fine Rob. Is there the possibility to check whether the user has connected his Microsoft account to the machine.
