Edit the url link of a button in a web subsite

Question
-
Greetings,
I'm trying to edit the link of a button in a web subsite in SharePoint Designer 2010 but when I click the edit button I get the message that I cannot edit it in designer and I have to edit it in the browser. How can I save the changes in the browser so it applies itself to the website? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

you should be able to edit the page in SharePoint designing be it master page or any content page
however what exactly you are trying to edit, could you elaborate?
also check if SharePoint designer is enabled for your web application, check this URL for reference

Hi,
When you change in browser and page will change from edit mode to normal the change will automatically saved.
We cannot change the page that are created using Page layout, so here you need to edit the page layout
But you can detach the page layout from page, when you see the prompt click Cancel button.
- Undo the checkout.
- Go to a list view of the pages
- Select the page.
- On the All Files ribbon, click the Detach from page Layout button.
- Proceed to edit as normal
