Sleep and PNP (disable and enable) with IO Before and After (Certification - Software Device) can't find files on DVD drive RRS feed

  • Question

  • The test seems to fail because it cannot find any files on the dvd in the drive.  There are definitely files on the dvd and I can access them from explorer.  Is there a permission issue or something else that would prevent the test from seeing them?

  • The system log on the client does show an error of

The driver \Driver\cdrom failed to load for the device SCSI\CdRom&Ven_TSSTcorp&Prod_DVD-ROM_SN-108BB\4&307cdc27&0&040000.

    although the drive is working

  • Hi Kurt,

Try to put Rewritable blank DVD. i think test only copy the data and try to read the specified content.

    Thanks,

    Mudit

  • Digging further, it appears the problem is that the test disables the cdrom and is then unable to reenable it.  The CDROM entry in the device manager shows this error:

Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware because a previous instance of the device driver is still in memory. (Code 38)
