Remove the Project Folder RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

i’ve installed the trail version of visual studio 2005.

I’ve want to remove the visual studio 2005 directory, where all the projects are stored in into another directory. I’ve changed all the specify settings in the preferences but after every start of vs, it creates a new visual studio directory in my own files, but I don’t want this. In this directory there isn’t any file stored. Only the directories Projects, Templates, ItemTemplates and ProjectTemplates will be created.

Can anybody help me to solve the problem that the folders won’t be created in further times?

  • Have you tried to change the VS project directory in tools > options > Project and Solutions > Visual Studio projects location ?

I have just tried this and once changing the directory, when you create a new project it creates it in the project location set under the tools/options
