The following error occurs when trying to create a new team project from my local machine. • Hi,

Do you mean that the WSS is installed by TFS?

It seems that the TFS extension for WSS is not been installed well.

Could you run Stsadm -o enumsolutions to check whether Microsoft.TeamFoundation.Sharepoint.wsp is installed.

If not, run Stsadm -o addsolution -filename "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Team Foundation Server 2010\Tools\Templates\Microsoft.TeamFoundation.SharePoint.wsp"

Then run Stsadm -o deploysolution -name Microsoft.TeamFoundation.SharePoint.wsp -local -force

You may have to run iisreset to make it take effect.

In addtion, TswaWebPartCollection.wsp  and Microsoft.TeamFoundation.SharePoint.Dashboards.wsp are also needed.

    Stsadm.exe is under C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\12\bin\stsadm.exe

  • Just to make sure: Are TFS and SharePoint are installed on separate boxes? If that is the case, then you need to install TFS bits on box the TFS box (obviously) and the SharePoint box. Specifically, you need to install the "Extensions for SharePoint Products" directly on the SharePoint box.

You must be logged in directly to the SharePoint box to do this.

Note sure if this is the issue, but wanted to make sure.

  • Also verify that the two other solution files are added and deployed as well:

    Microsoft.TeamFoundation.SharePoint.Dashboards.wsp
    TswaWebPartCollection.wsp
