Azure storage RRS feed

  • Question

  • HI!

I want to use Azure as a simple cloud-hosted storage for files. I want to attach the storage to my local file server.

I don't understand what type of cloud service should I use.

My best guess is BLOB storage, but I can't understand how could I connect it to my server.

What is the best way to solve my problem?

    Best regards,

  • Hi,

From my experience, we usually store files to Azure Storage Blob in azure, Windows Azure Blob storage is a service for storing large amounts of unstructured data that can be accessed from anywhere in the world via HTTP or HTTPS, we can access the file (uploaded to the azure blob storage) via the URL, eg if we upload a image like (aa.png) to our azure blob storage, we will get a URL (http://(storage name).blob.core.windows.net/(container name)/aa.png). hope this helps, if I misunderstand, please feel free to let me know.

    Best Regards

  • You may also refer to backup vaults which needs an installation of an agent on your file server WABInstaller.exe.

    Hope this meets your need..
