Set New Reminder Times for Different Intervals (i.e. Monthly, bi-weekly, etc.) RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm trying to figure out how to set a new reminder after a task has fired, for different periods.

    Current VBA Code:

    myItem.ReminderTime = Format(Now() + 1, "short date") & " " & Format("6:15:00 AM", "short time")

    I'd like to know how I can set it to be one month from today, two weeks from today, etc.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks.

Answers

  • I believe I have the answer for monthly.

    Sub MonthlyReminder()
    'Place Sub Routine Here to be Run

    ' FOLLOWING CODE ESTABLISHES TOMORROW'S TASK
    Dim Today As Date
    Today = Now()
    Set myItem = Application.CreateItem(olTaskItem)
     myItem.Subject = "Monthly Reminder"
     myItem.ReminderSet = True
     myItem.ReminderTime = Format(DateSerial(Year(Today), Month(Today) + 1, Day(Today)), "short date") & " " & Format("6:15:00 AM", "short time")
     myItem.Save

    End Sub
