TFS integration with LCS RRS feed

  • Question

    Hi all,

I want to integrate the LCS  2005 with  TFS(Share point services or Team Plain Web Access). In my company we are currently using TFS and my project manager wants to integrate the same with Live Communication Server 2005. The following is the scenario why he wants me to implement the same.

The client has given the requirements document based on that the design is done. Later it is realised that some clarification is required on the requirements . My Project manager will have a chat with client using LCS 2005 or via Email  and gets the clarification required. He wants to have this chat or email saved as comments during checkin's. The saving of this content as comments is to be implemented as integration between LCS and Sharepoint Services or Team plain Web Access.

How can i do this? Please help me out

    Thanks & Regards,

    Phani Kumar PV

  • Phani,

Is there a specific requirement to avoid doing this manually, such as copying the content from the chat or email message, and pasting it into checkin comments?

  • Hi Hakan Eskici,

No I want it to be implemented automatically. Like by press of some button  the user must select the project and create a new task/ Modify an existing  task.

Atleast on press of button upload the chat or mail into the portal document library.

    Thanks and regards,

  • Take a look at TeamPatter: http://www.codeplex.com/TeamPatter It doesn't integrate with LCS but the source is provided so you might be able to do it yourself.
