BasedOn problem with style RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

    I am trying to use the BasedOn syntax in my app but can not get it working.  I have followed the online MS documentation and am using a simple example...can anyone see what I am doing wrong.

    It keeps saying 'each style must specify a target type' even with the target type.  The NavigationBackButtonNormalStyle is a default MS generic style on a button.

    My style is in a custom resource dictionary that other styles work fine from.

       <Style x:Key="Style2" BasedOn="{StaticResource NavigationBackButtonNormalStyle}" TargetType="Button">
            <Setter Property="Control.Foreground" Value="Blue"/>
