Determining the actual location of a control RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have an application that has windows within it that can change size. I need to be able to figure out the actual location of any given control on the screen. I know there must be an API call that will tell me, but I can't find it anywhere; any search including "screen location" returns lots of unrelated stuff.

What I'm doing is popping up a window I create outside of the foxpro app, but I want it to pop up in a specific location determined by the calling control. Trying to extrapolate that location using the parent objects hasn't worked out. Any ideas?

  • Check OBJTOCLIENT to get the control absolute position in the form.

Check ClientToScreen API function to get the absolute position in the screen.
