Im wondering if anyone can recommend an AWESOME ([:P]) book(s) on software architecture, mainly for Asp.net but also something that can relate to desktop apps. Im looking for a straightforward book on nTier, and not only "oh-ntier-is-the-best-thing-I-live-my-life-by-it" but also some discussions about the pros and cons.

    Thanks in advance!

I think the best book nearby that subject is Steve McConnell's Code Complete 2nd Edition (MSPress). it isn't (ASP).NET specific but provides valuable insight into building software. Don't let its name fool you, it contains lots of design related stuff.
