    I have two senerios First Exchange 2003 on existing enviroment . needs to implement Ex2007 CCR

    Second Fresh Installation of Exchange 2007 .on CCR envrioment

    Quesiton:- Which role I have to installed first .

    Please help

  • I would install a Hub Transport server first, and Edge Transport servers if you're going to use them.  Get your external mail flow through them to and from your 2003 server sorted out first, then work on the mailbox and CAS servers.

  • Can we start with CAS ,HT,ET ,MBX if no why.

    & Do we need to follow same process for fresh installation as you said

    HT / EDGE

    MBX than CAS server.

  • You don't need to do it in any particular order.  It's just potentially less disruptive to the production environment if the mail routing is solid before you start migration, and it makes testing and debugging as you add more roles easier. 

     You can't very well test a CAS server without a mailbox server for it to connect to.  You can't test a mailbox server if there's no hub server for it to send and receive mail through.
