  • Hi timme25,

Whether all test projects have the same issue?

If all projects have this issue, please restart your machine, and then re-open your test project, debug it again.

Please debug it in other way, for example, set the breakpoint, and then right click the test method in Test Explorer window, and select the debug test option.

Not very sure that whether it is the VS IDE issue, if possible, please reset your VS settings, and then recreate a new test project to avoid if there’re any problems of the old workspace settings.

If still no help, please re-pair your VS.

But if just the specific test project has this issue, I’m afraid that it would be the test project issue.

    Best Regards,

  • Thanks for your reply Jack,

Debugging in other way doesn't work. Nor does resetting, recreating, repairing  Visual Studio 2013.

I also have Visual Studio 2012 installed where the debugging native unit test works.

Any more suggestions to solve the problem we have in our team?

  • Hi timme25,

If you create a new unit test in VS2013, whether it worked well?

Since it worked well in VS2012, one possible reason,it doesn't be updated well from the old version to the new version, in addition, if you run the updated app in VS2012 again, does it work well? If you install the VS2012 and VS2013 in the same machine, whether it works well if you change the Platform Toolset to VS2012 in the project property of VS2013? Please clean and rebuild your app.

Please also check the debugger Type in your two VS version, it is "Auto" in default.

If possible, please run your VS in safe mode, debug it again.

    Best Regards,

  • Hi Jack,

I got information it is caused by Intel C++ Studio XE 2013. Uninstalling it and repairing Visual Studio 2013 is suggested to work. Thanks for your efforts.

    Cheers

  • This problem was diagnosed as a defect in the Debugger Extensions for the Intel(R) Xeon Phi(TM) coprocessor.  It was resolved with the release of Update 2 of the Intel(R) Parallel Studio XE 2013 SP1, released Feb. 24, 2014.  Or, you can uninstall just the Debugger Extensions.
