Expression Blend Designer not displaying UserControl from DLL RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I have a WPF solution which consists of 3 Projects:

    -Base.dll

    -Creator.exe

    -Screen.exe

Both Creator and Screen reference Base which includes common code and an WPF User Control. They also copy Base to their output directory.

So after the solution is build I end up with 4x Base.dll. In Base\bin, Base\obj, Screen\bin and Creator\bin

The program itself works without problems (so does Visual Studio's designer)

However Blend does not display the UserControl and throws the Error:

"The Component Base.*ControlName* does not have a resource identified by the URI '/Base;component/*controlName.xaml*'"

If I delete all the Base.dll except the one in Base\bin the UserControl is displayed (but there is a warning that the control has been changed and I need to rebuild the Solution, which results in the aforementioned error again)

The strangest part is that everything was fine 2 Weeks ago, and I can't really remember changing anything

Hope you can help me :)
