Install / upgrade win 7 pro running on VMWare Worsktation Fails

Question
-
I attempted the installation on my win 7 pro virtual machine. It stopped and asked me to increase the disk space, which I did (32 gb now free), then I continued the install.
I receive an "installation failed" message and then it reboots to win 7 pro.
Thoughts..?

I haven't a clue. I uploaded per the request into the bugs ticket and haven't heard back. I was able to resolve the issue, however. Another user advised me to upgrade from VMWare Workstation 7.x to 8.x.
With that change, I was able to successfully load the preview.
Thanks for the response.

Hi Jim, Microsoft is already aware that older versions of vmware do not work with Windows 8. VMWare Workstation 8 will work though.
