Workflow Causes Fields to Revert or Update Unexpectedly RRS feed

  • I have a Workflow that checks a field, Suppress E-mails?, to see if it is checked or not (i.e., is it yes or no).  The Workflow is manually started.  I check the Suppress E-mails? field before manually starting the Workflow.  I log history indicating if the field is checked or not and the Workflow history shows it is.  What's odd is that the Suppress E-mails? field reverts to unchecked once the Workflow gets to a Wait for field to change step.

    Why?  Version history shows it is getting changed but I can't figure out why.

    This is a document library with content approval turned on.  Additional, I believe, related issues are that I have a Date Received field that I try to populate in the datasheet view of the Approve/Reject Items view.  It also reverts back to blank.

    Finally, I also have a Workflow that is triggered upon an edit.  Turning that trigger on or off doesn't seem to affect the fields reverting.

    By the way, this is SharePoint 2007.
