FSLogix on a RDS Windows Server 2019 Collection and AD user roaming profiles being corrupted on local Windows 10 desktops. RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

We use two profile management mechanisms, Microsoft roaming profiles for Windows desktops and Fslogix for RDS profile containers.

When a user who has a user profile path in their AD account signs off the RDS server, the profile is seen to upload to the user profile path and when the user logs onto the local Windows desktop, they are seeing profile corrupts that prevents MS office suite being lauched.

Why is this occuring and how do we resolve without clearing the user profile path.

I'd expect Windows server to refer to the remote desktop profile path in AD which isn't being used as FSLogix is taking take of the user profile?

    Thanks

    Mark

  • Hi,

I usually clear out the the profile path on the AD object and use GPOs instead, it provides much more flexibility and prevents you from running into scenarios like the one you have now.
