Bug in infobox displaying RRS feed

  • Question

  • In current release branch the infobox sometimes is displayed in wrong way. The bug can be reproduced on specific coordinates, specific zooms and rather long description text.

    <!DOCTYPE html>
    <html>
    <head>
        <title></title>
        <meta charset="utf-8" />
        <script type='text/javascript'
                src='http://www.bing.com/api/maps/mapcontrol?branch=release&callback=GetMap'
                async defer></script>
        <script type='text/javascript'>
        function GetMap() {
            var map = new Microsoft.Maps.Map('#myMap', {
    		center : new Microsoft.Maps.Location( 51.50632, -0.12714 ),
    		zoom : 6
            });

    	var location = new Microsoft.Maps.Location( 53, 10 );
            var pin = new Microsoft.Maps.Pushpin(location);

            var infobox = new Microsoft.Maps.Infobox(pin.getLocation(), {
    	    description : 'some test description',
                visible: true
            });

    	infobox.setMap(map);

            map.entities.push(pin);
        }
        </script>
    </head>
    <body>
        <div id="myMap" style=";width:1200px;height:1200px;"></div>
    </body>
    </html>

  • The team is aware of this issue and have fixed the issue locally, but will not be able to release this for a few months as our production system is in a code freeze for the holiday season (likely till January). This will likely be fixed in the experimental branch in the next week or two.

    If you would like to resolve this issue in your code right now, email me at richbrun at microsoft.com and I can provide you with a temporary workaround.
