Slow Receiving Emails RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have just upgraded our previous Exchange 2010 server to Exchange 2013.

    Using three seperate accounts I am currently having problems receiving emails on my exchange server. Using different accounts I am getting different results;

    Office 365 Account: Receive the email after 14 hours

    Gmail Account: Receive the email within 3-4 hours

    From internal account: Receive the email within seconds.

    I can send emails and it takes various periods of time to receive the email on the other end (normally within the hour).

    This is really annoying me as it use to work on Exchange 2010 and does work in a Lab environment.

    Cheers,

    Ben

  • I'd start with

    www.ExchangeConnectivity.com and test the smtp email from there

    also run the Tracert to any outside domain and see if there is a disconnection to TTL is exceeding .

  • Not 100% sure what the problem was but upon running the test above, it is know working when I added the required IP's to all my servers. Source (http://www.techieshelp.com/exchange-2013-451-4-7-0-temporary-server-error-please-try-again-later-prx5/)

  • So you have upgraded your lab environment from 2010 to 2013?

    have you published the IP of your lab and using a FQDN?

  • No I have tested Exchange 2013 in a Lab Environment (published to web) and tested and works fine

    I have then upgraded my actual installment from 2010 to 2013.
