Asp.Net and versioning RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm trying to set up assembly versioning in ASP.Net. I got it working in a console application, but for some reason it doesn't work in my webapplication. I added the following to my web.config:

    <configuration xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/.NetConfiguration/v2.0">
      ...
      <runtime>
        <assemblyBinding xmlns="urnTongue Tiedchemas-microsoft-com:asm.v1">
          <dependentAssembly>
             <assemblyIdentity name="MyLibrary" publicKeyToken="cabca11edb3bbae4" culture="neutral" />
             <codeBase version="1.0.0.0" href="bin\MyLibrary\1_0_0_0\MyLibrary.dll" />
             <codeBase version="1.0.0.1" href="bin\MyLibrary.dll" />
          </dependentAssembly>
        </assemblyBinding>
      </runtime>
      ...
    </configuration>

    Does anyone got experience with using this functionality in a web application?

    Thanks in advance Wink
