demand paging and the paging pool RRS feed

  • Question

  • When demand paging is turned off in the config.bib file (ROMFLAGS    0x0001), is the page pool disabled as well? I expected to see a performance gain by turning off demand paging which would cause the applications being run loaded in RAM before being run, but I haven't seen a noticeable difference. I'm wondering if I should bother adjusting the size of the page pool if I already turned off demand paging. I am trying to run my sluggish GUI application faster than it runs now (GUI uses Qt library dlls). I'm using an EBOX with 1 GB of memory, I don't think the amount of RAM is an issue.
