The Windows 8 Developer Preview is for x86/x64 systems only. Android tablets run on ARM processors.

    So the answer is no.

There will be an ARM version of Windows 8, but it is not known whether it will be loadable on existing ARM hardware (but I suspect not).

  • I do not know if it has been tested. The ViewPad 10 Pro does run Windows 7.
If it runs Windows 7, you should be able to install Windows Developer Preview.
However, to be certain, I would check with Sonic about the ViewPad 7.

This website show information about the ViewPad 10Pro.

  • Viewpad 10 and Viewpad 7 are entirely different h/w.

I want to know about only Viewpad 7.

It doesn't have dual boot and doesn't come with windows 7.

If you can check for Viewpad 7 then it would be very helpful.

  • There is no support from Microsoft or Sonic. You are on your own, until Sonic writes or get hardware venders to write Windows 8 drivers.

You can force the Windows 7 drivers installer to run under Windows 7 compatibility mode if the driver setup blocks the install, but the driver may or may not work. Driver compatibility requires a lot of work from the driver's author, and if driver crashes you probably get a blue screen and hard to recover.  That's why many driver authors write extra code to refuse to install on untested systems.
