Can ThreadPoolTimer run in the application Background?

    Question

  • Hi,

I am developing a Windows Store App C#. I want a background task to be run once in every 30 seconds. But we know that this is limited to once in 15 minutes with the TimeTrigger. So what am trying to do is inside the Run method of the TimeTrigger background task, am raising a ThreadPoolTimer, which fires for every 30 seconds.

So does this approach works? Does a ThreadPoolTimer run in the background, even if the application is not in the foreground.??

Any help is greatly appreciated here.

    Thanks In Advance.

    Rajesh
