Psexec remote command prompt issue RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am trying to come up with remote command prompt tool like psexec. But I found that psexec supports only ANSI characters. For Example , if i use cd to change directory for a non - ANSI folder name , I'm getting wierd characters.

So,Is there a known bug in cmd.exe from psexec tool ?

As far as I'm concerned, the weird character you got is the unicode character BOM (Byte Order Mark) used as a signature and that cmd.exe does not recognize.

I suggest you could refer to the link: https://superuser.com/questions/601282/%CC%81-is-not-recognized-as-an-internal-or-external-command
