Change header when creating new projects

    Question

  • Hello,

    I would like to know how to change the top comments that say :
    // VerySimpleCalculator.cpp : Defines the entry point for the console application.
    //

    To my own custom comments at the top when I generate a project or a class. I cannot figure out how too, and I am annoyed with changing the header every single time.

    Thanks

  • Hi Winux12,

    You could create your own custom Item template with your own custom comments. Firs, please add an item in your project and add your own comments and the export this file as item template. Then every time when you add this item into any project through Visual Studio, it will use your own comments. Detailed steps, please refer to:

    And you also can create project template, which will let you use your own project structure and comments in project.
