SQL Server Data Tools in Visual Studio 2017 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi

I recently installed Visual Studio 2017 RC which brings a lot of new features in Data Analysis. Great :-)

In according to the release notes from Microsoft Visual Studio includes SQL Server Data Tools. Unfortunately I can't find the Business Intelligence Templates to create SQL Server Integration Projects (SSIS).

    Can anyone help?

    Thanks in advance.

  • Hello Phil,

See thread SSIS/SSRS/SSAS Project templates missing in Visual Studio 2017 RC? with the same question.

  • Install this and it will work : https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName=ProBITools.MicrosoftReportProjectsforVisualStudio&showReviewDialog=true

This really should be included in the Visual Studio installer.

  • Thank you so much for this.  Tried several times, and just could not get it to work/install.  This did it, thank you!  And I agree, it really should be included with the Visual Studio installer.
