Enable OHCI selective suspend by using Microsoft OS Descriptor RRS feed

  • Question

  •     When usb device is attached to the EHCI, it succeed to enable selective suspend. But,attach to the OHCI,it  fail.

I have got the cause about it as below:

Alternatively, you can enable or disable selective suspend by setting the value of HcDisableSelectiveSuspend under the software key of the USB port driver. A value of 1 disables selective suspend. A value of 0 enables selective suspend.

For instance, the following lines in Usbport.inf disable selective suspend for a Hydra OHCI controller:

[OHCI_NOSS.AddReg.NT] HKR,,"HcDisableSelectiveSuspend",0x00010001,1 It succeed After set the value to 0,but how to do it automatically by using Microsoft OS Descriptor

    Thanks for any help.

  • I assume that you only observe this behavior on a version of Windows prior to Windows 7.

There isn't any way from the Microsoft OS Descriptor to override that registry value, nor any other global selective suspend policy settings.
