How to let a Word Add-in be active (and not to load everytime Word starts) RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I wrote a Word Add-in for Word 2016 based on the new model complete with Manifest XML. When I add the Add-In it works. After closing Word I have to reload the Add-in again. I want to have the Add-in always available. Avoiding to add the Add-in everytime I start Word.

    Thanks for the answer,

    Greetings,

According to your description, in Word(desktop) when we insert the add-in and save the document, when we reopen that document the add-in is automatically loaded. The information of Office Add-in is stored in this Word document.

As my experience, and I have checked the manifest, there is no way to set it, if this is a feature you want to include in the feature version of Office add-in, I suggest you submit a feedback from the link below:

    Thanks for your understanding.
