HTML5 video - poor playback quality RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello!

I am in process of developing an asp.net application with several sites. One is to display videos and I am using the HTML5 <video> tag. I do not have a web server yet but only work on local host.

My problem is the poor playback quality in both IE and Chrome. I have set the autobuffer but still to no avail. The video is not shown fluently. I have tried reducing the resolution and file size but still with no effect.

    Any recommendation is much appreciated!

    Best regards,

  • I suggest trying that from a "real" server. And also from another machine/network. Also compare to similar external services.

At first glance it looks a bit like you are having ressource problems on the machine which might go away if you deliver from a real server.

If not, then people would need to see a live working example before any recommendation.
