sms wakeup of my WM6 std application RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,
I have developed a WM6 std application. I have a requirement that I have to Start my application after getting a SMS.
eg there is Push Notification for iPhone, App Directed SMS in BREW.

Please let me know if its possible in WM6 standard device. OR there is some other way of starting a dead app on any external
    event.

    Thanks
    Sam

  • Hi Sam,

I am not sure whether you can start the application when you receive SMS. But surely you can wake up the application when SMS is received by device.

You run your application in back ground ( write the code to intercept the SMS) so that when ever SMS is received, it will be notified by your application through the event.

Also check if it is suitable for your requirement:

  • You can start any app ( running /dead ) using CreateProcess API.
For Sms notification this link also useful for you - http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms880657.aspx
