Question
-
Dear all!
I create a project in TFSPreview with CMMI template and would like to change the TASK filed 'Discipline'. I need to add some more disciplines to the list.
I did the following:
- Install the Power tools,
- In VS tools\Process Editor\Work Items Types\Open WIT from server
- select my project and 'Task' type
- Select 'Disciplines' at list on Fields tab
- press Edit button
- select Rules tab
- press Edit button on Rule tab
- Press New button
- Write 'Deployment' and press OK
- Check XML
- Press OK
- And OK
- And SAVE
<ListRule expanditems="true"> <LISTITEM value="Analysis" /> <LISTITEM value="User Experience" /> <LISTITEM value="User Education" /> <LISTITEM value="Development" /> <LISTITEM value="Test" /> <LISTITEM value="Deployment" /> </ListRule>

Process template customization is not allowed on the TF Service Preview at this time. It will be in the future, but not now. What you are seeing it expected behavior.

Hi Roman,
Thank you for your post.
I reproduce the issue by using a Project Collection Administrators account to edit WIT through process editor in VS11, i get the same error message as you described in the post. For this scenario, I suggest you submit this issue to Microsoft Connect site http://connect.microsoft.com/. Microsoft engineers will help confirm the issue.
Thanks,

Roman,
You will be able to interact with TFSpreview using VS2010 as well. Can you please perform the same steps and advise if you can reproduce the issue.
What level of permission do you have on the team project?
