Azure Migrate Appliances

Question

For Azure migration Assessment and Migration we need different Azure Appliances right ? or is it same 

Like for running Assessment we need to download appliance from Azure Migrate: Server Assessment section under Assessment tools and for Azure Migration need to download appliance from Azure Migrate: Server Migration section under Migration tools.

Azure Migrate provides a centralized hub to assess and migrate to Azure on-premises servers, infrastructure, applications, and data. It is a tool that can be used for both assessment and server migration. We have used different terminologies such as assessment tool and migration tool. Because you can use Azure Migrate server assessment tool for assessment your environment and use 3rd party tool for migration.

You can check "Tutorials" section on the left from the reference link shared above to understand and set up the tool based on your environment (VMware, Hyper-V and Physical Servers)
