  • You can try using the FTP adapter however it only supports FTP servers that are running on these operating systems:

    Microsoft Windows Server 2003
Windows 2000 Server Service Pack 3 (SP3) and later versions
Windows 2000 Advanced Server SP3 and later versions
    Sun Solaris 9.0
    HP-UX
    Redhat 7.x Linux
    IBM O/S 390 running MVS
    AS/400 OS/400 V5R1

  • Hi,

You could also consider using the fiel adapter if you have a file share to the unix location.

Be aware that this is NOT SUPPORTED, the documentation states that the file adapter is only suported on the NTFS partition. If you try this you may see that it takes up to a munite to pick up the files, there's a polling interval property in the receive location properties, the defaily value is 60,000 ms. (With NTFS the file adapter is event driven, so the pollinginterval is never used.)

    Regards,

    Alan

  • We use the FTP adapter to connect to AIX 5.3.  Sometimes "Not Supported" means that Microsoft just has not "certified" its use against a particular platform. It may be as simple as not testing it as extensively as other platforms. We ran into a bug with the adapter, it was not related to AIX whatsoever, but Microsoft did help us.  The didn't say "Sorry you are running against an unsupported platform".  They actually provided us with a hot fix.

Another option is the NSoftware adapter which "supports" the Unix platform.
