  • Question

  • Hello.

    I've upgraded from windows 8 to windows 10 recently and every time I

    start the computer I got the bellow message. How can I disable this message?

    Thanks.

    ShimiB.

    See the end of this message for details on invoking
    just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

    ************** JIT Debugging **************
    To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
    application or computer (machine.config) must have the
    jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
    The application must also be compiled with debugging
    enabled.

    For example:

    <configuration>
        <system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
    </configuration>

    When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
    will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
    rather than be handled by this dialog box.

  • You have a startup program that is throwing an uncaught exception, which is then "handled" by the .NET Framework exception handler. The handling consists of displaying the message you see.

    To find and check the startup programs on your Win 10 system:

    1. Press Windows key + X key. And select Run.
    2. Type msconfig in the Run box and hit Enter.
    3. On the Services tab of the System Configuration dialog box, tap or click to select the Hide all Microsoft services check box, and then tap or click Disable all.
    4. On the Startup tab of the System Configuration dialog box, tap or click Open Task Manager.
    5. On the Startup tab in Task Manager, for each startup item, select the item and then click Disable.
    6. Close Task Manager.
    7. On the Startup tab of the System Configuration dialog box, tap or click OK, and then restart the computer.

    In your case, you need to disable the startup programs one at a time, rebooting your system each time until the message does not appear. The last-disabled startup program is the culprit.

    Once you identify the culprit program, repair or reinstall. If that does not help, contact the software publisher for assistance.
