  • Question

  • I noticed that if an application is present inside "Programs" folder, after you execute it, it will displayed on top of the MRU list within Start Menu (for Pocket PC). But if the application is not inside "Programs" folder, after you execute it, it will not show up in the MRU list. Also, if the same application, which is inside "Programs" folder, is launched via one of those hardware buttons on the PPC, it will not show up in MRU list.

My question is, was the above observation true? If it is, the only way for an application to show up in MRU list is for user to launch the app from within "Programs" folder. This is a little bit odd.

  • To be specific, programs show up in the MRU list only if they are launched using shortcuts found in the Programs folder. If the shortcut has been moved/removed, the program is also automatically removed from the MRU list.
