Unable to email from Access database RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have recently moved my client from a small, local network to a Hosted Desktop environment. A key part of the work that they do is through an Access database. The client has reported that since moving from the local network to the Hosted Desktop environment they are unable to email from within Access.

They receive the error "Before attempting to send an e-mail message from <database name> resolve the problem identified in the previous message, or configure your computer to send and receive e-mail messages."

The user had previously reported receiving a message stating "Tell us the account you want to use to open ?MailboxId=..." and when they signed in with the mailbox details they wanted to use they received the message  “Sorry, another account from your organization is already signed in on this computer.”

Can anybody suggest how to resolve this?

    Kind regards

    David

  • Sounds like their e-mail account isn't configured, or isn't configured properly.  You're going to have to contact IT department or the Hosted Desktop Environment service provider for assistance since it doesn't appear to be an Access issue.
