how do I rename an edi file with the PreservedFileName? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi ,

I am new to Biz Talk 2006 R2. I have setup a File Send port to write the EDI file received in an AS2 message to a folder. The application is using the "%MessageID%.edi" for the filename.  I need to use the name of the edi file that was wrapped in the AS2 message . is there a way to do this in BizTalk 2006 R2?

Thanks in advance for your help,
    Mike

  • Hi,
This was not in BTS 2006 R2. You can write a pipeline component to read the File name from context property and make the file name again. Or best thing is to upgrade to BTS09.

    Thanks

  • Hi,
This functionality was not out of box provided in BTS 2006 R2. In BTS09 you can do this in following manner:

  • Thank you Gyan.

I looked at the link in your response but that option is not available in BTS 2006 R2. Is there a way to do this FileName preservation in  BTS 2006 R2?

    Thanks,
    Mike
